
Alison has nearly 20 years of experience in the communications industry, including: speech coaching, television and radio advertising sales; media planning and buying; television program development; TV program hosting and producing; and TV news anchoring and reporting. She joined WPNT in 2000, and since then has provided executive speech coaching, presentation skills training and crisis media training to scores of executives in several industries. She leads the Dallas operation of WPNT.
Alison excels at helping clients better understand the importance of audience-centric communications. She specializes in preparing clients for challenging internal and external communications, investor/analyst conferences, town-hall meeting and public hearings. As a graduate of the Harvard-MIT Public Disputes Program, she has helped numerous Fortune 500 companies better understand the needs of their stakeholders while balancing their corporate values and goals.
Alison has worked for CBS, ABC and NBC affiliates in newsrooms in Tennessee, Mississippi, North Carolina, New York City and California. In addition, Alison has extensive experience on the other side of the media business as she owned her own media-buying agency in San Diego and sold advertising for Cox Communications (the fifth largest cable operator in the US) and several radio stations.
Alison manages a household of four, with husband Scott. She is a native New Yorker (raised in New Jersey) and earned her B.A. in Mass Communications/ Broadcast Journalism from the Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania.
