Dimitri Schildmeijer

Dimitri Schildmeijer is a Senior Associate for WPNT based in Brussels. He has been a corporate communications specialist for over a decade helping industry leading organizations build stronger ties to key stakeholders.

For eight years, Dimitri held various positions in the communications and public affairs department of a Fortune 10 multinational company. He had assignments in The Netherlands and Belgium. He worked on employee communications, regional PR, issues management, crisis preparedness and response, and media relations. Most recently he was the company's Corporate Communications Manager for Europe, Africa, and the Middle East based in Brussels. In this role, he was also the European lead for a major pan-European corporate advertising campaign.

Dimitri also worked for more than three years as a communications consultant in Akkanto (a Belgian agency) and Hill & Knowlton Brussels. He specialized in issues management and crisis communications, and his clients included international companies in telecom, energy, beverages and manufacturing.

Throughout his career Dimitri has trained and prepared executives for public speaking and news media interviews. His role has included speaker strategy and placement, audience and issue analysis, presentation skills training, media training, writing speeches, and preparing Q&A's.

Dimitri is from The Netherlands. He holds a Master's degree in communications from the University of Amsterdam. He lives just outside of Brussels and speaks English, French and Dutch. Dimitri is married and has four children. He enjoys swimming, cycling and writing. His favorite film speech is Al Pacino's "Inch by inch" in Any Given Sunday.
