Ray Thompson leads WPNT’s Houston office. He provides individualized communications training and counsel worldwide. Ray has coached scores of senior leaders in the art of advancing their personal and organizational interests through successful media encounters, public speeches, webcasts, and presentations.
Ray has helped some of the most prominent CEOs develop communication strategies in support of corporate mergers and acquisitions, investor road shows, regulatory initiatives, outreach to non-government organizations—and many other high profile situations. Graduates of Ray’s programs routinely appear on national news and entertainment programs, testify before Congress and other governmental bodies, and give public presentations.
Before founding WPNT's Houston office, Ray served as director of issues management for a Fortune 15 company. He coordinated federal and state public policy and advocacy initiatives. As a spokesman, Ray appeared on most US networks, CNN, and in the international media. He also served on the board of directors of the American Legislative Exchange Council.
Ray is a native of Louisiana, and has lived in Europe and across the United States. He holds a B.A. in journalism from Louisiana State University.
