
Rhonda Hughes has been at the forefront of the communications industry for more than a decade, working as an executive communications trainer and television journalist. As an Associate with WPNT, Rhonda has helped C-suite executives enhance their presentation and media skills. She has prepared business leaders from around the world for contentious community meetings, high-profile press conferences, customer presentations, stakeholder dialogue sessions and network television appearances.
Originally from the Dallas area, Rhonda returned to Texas in 1999 to work as a reporter for KXAS/NBC-5. While there, Rhonda covered many consumer-related stories, but specialized in day-to-day live, breaking news stories. Rhonda covered major news events for NBC-5 including the Texas A&M Bonfire collapse, the Columbia Shuttle explosion, the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, the shooting at the Wedgwood Baptist Church in Fort Worth and many more high profile events.
Rhonda also worked for as a news anchor and reporter at KFOR-TV in Oklahoma City. While at Newschannel 4, Rhonda worked many significant news events including gavel to gavel coverage of the trial of Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh and the largest tornado ever recorded that hit in May of 1999. Rhonda has also worked as television news reporter in Lubbock, Texas and Shreveport, Louisiana. She began her career at a suburban Dallas newspaper after graduating from the University of Texas at Austin.
Rhonda lives in Dallas with her husband and three children.
