WPNT is providing funding to Peace Corps volunteer, Shannon Monroe. Shannon has dedicated the last year and a half to the Peace Corps in Benin, West Africa. For her final project, she will implement a plan to help save a unique and culturally-signifigant monkey habitat. She has placed special importance on the project's sustainability and the proceeds from its implementation will return back into the community. In short, she has designed a project that will encourage tourism and environmental stewardship while protecting a threatened species.
