PRESENTATION
SKILLS
As authority and accountability are pushed deeper within the corporate
org chart, an increasing number of project managers, team leaders
and executives are finding that good communication skills are an
essential element of their success. Effective leaders must be able
to inform, persuade and motivate their colleagues, team members,
business partners and third party vendors, suppliers and contractors.
The
stakes are even higher in the external environment. Fair, or not,
government officials, community groups, customers, and shareholders
expect today that corporate leaders are good communicators. Some
executives are, but many are not. Whether seeking budget approval
from senior management or coping with angry neighbors, enhanced
communication skills can be the difference between success and failure.
WPNT's standard one-day presentation skills training program accommodates
up to 10 persons in an intensive skill-building experience. The
group reviews communications fundamentals together then divides
into smaller groups for a series of on-camera exercises. The morning
session covers The Net Impression, Presentation
Dynamics, and The Five-Step Message Development Model.
In breakout rooms participants conduct on-camera presentations and
receive individualized feedback and instruction.
The afternoon is comprised of a more intensive look at
The "YOU" Factor and Maximizing the Messenger, and Effective Use
of Tools and Technology. Using examples from WPNT's extensive
video library participants analyze the qualities of effective communicators
before returning to the breakout rooms for more on-camera exercises,
critique and feedback.
We also offer a variety of private executive speech coaching sessions
ranging from a couple of hours to a full day. These customized programs
are designed to meet the unique needs of high-profile CEOs, CFOs,
and other senior representatives.
