During the first quarter of 2000, WPN saw increased requests for clients seeking personal coaching, as well as training for new media pursuits.

One of the nation's leading B2B e-commerce companies headquartered outside Chicago has tapped WPN for a recurring series of executive communications training programs including speech coaching, media training, webcasting and analyst communications.
In preparation for a series of meetings with lenders to refinance debt overseas, WPN provided strategic communications counsel and coaching to senior executives of a leading producer of graphite and carbon electrodes in Geneva, Switzerland.
One of the world's largest pharmaceutical manufacturers tapped WPN to conduct presentation training in New York for a nationwide consumer speaker's bureau. WPN's four-person training team instructed participants on communicating effectively and comfortably in public about a sensitive health issue affecting large numbers of Americans.
In a continuing effort to strengthen its international webcasts with employees, senior members of a worldwide energy producer's digital business group called upon WPN to provide presentation and on-air skills training for executives in London.
A key marketing executive for a leading website for teen girls and young women participated in an executive media training program conducted by WPN at its Chicago training center. The web site is a part of the Turf Network, which hosts five other sites.
In preparation for a network news interview, WPN provided strategy, counsel and training to a member of a leading insurer's legal team who served as spokesperson. The training was conducted outside Chicago.
In preparation for ongoing media relations and issues management, WPN held two days of training for a health system in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Participants included department heads and medical staff as well as administrators and CEOs of its owned and managed rural and specialty hospitals and clinics.
Colon cancer screening, managed care reform, and establishment of a bioimaging institute were some of the issues discussed during a media awareness session conducted by WPN for a professional medical association. Two dozen state chapter leaders attended the program in Washington, D.C. in an effort to more effectively communicate their positions.
In preparation for a leading consumer products trade show, an executive of a global controls maker participated in a full-day media training program at WPN's Chicago training center. The company was rolling out a new line of air purifiers.
