FOURTH QUARTER 2002 HIGHLIGHTS

WPNT is fortunate to look back on 2002 as another successful year. Our client list grew significantly, as we continued to maintain our focus on the two critical areas of business communications strategy and training. Time and again we are recognized for connecting our executive training programs to our clients' bottom line. As we move into the economic and diplomatic uncertainty of 2003, communications outreach and stakeholder management will be more important than ever.

To better address a number of important environmental initiatives, spokespersons for a utility concern participated in WPNT's Executive Media Training program in Washington, D.C. A member of WPNT's Press Corps with expertise in the utility industry assisted with the training.
A worldwide crisis and business continuity exercise, involving all management levels across its entire global operation was conducted by a leading telecom maker. WPNT provided strategy, simulation cell development and coordination, Simulator Corps training, created an Evaluators Guide and provided a written analysis following the exercise. Separately, a media awareness workshop was conducted for four dozen country managers, government relations specialists and other executives. The program was held outside Chicago.
Cell phone use and driving safety, workplace ergonomics and engineer recruitment on college campuses were some of the topics addressed during an Chicago-area Executive Media Training session for a professional association of engineers.
In preparation for the launch of a new technology, a leading drug and healthcare product manufacturer tapped WPNT for Issues Management Training outside Chicago. The technology is intended to help further reduce medication errors in hospital settings. A WPNT Press Corps member assisted with the training via telephone, later filing newspaper and trade magazine stories.
Following strategy and training provided by WPNT, and then an aggressive communications campaign, residents of a 10-county area approved continued gaming operations there. The vote was an overwhelming success for the Iowa Gaming Association.
Terminated for cause, a disgruntled former employee of a well-known retail client filed an EEOC complaint alleging discrimination and sexual harassment. The individual linked her cause with a well funded special interest group, and suddenly the company's board of directors, members of congress, and the media are receiving a one-sided view of the circumstances. WPNT's issues management assistance and executive training turned a potential maelstrom into a short-lived event.
Following a nationwide search, a leading multinational corporation selected WPNT to provide executive speech coaching to approximately 150 senior executives in the U.S., Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Following a series of successful pilot sessions the program has now been expanded and is required training for all of the corporation's "high potential" managers and executives.
A Chicago-based national firm selected WPNT to provide on-camera training to a senior marketing representative launching a lucrative new product line in a series of appearances on television shopping network HSN.
