SECOND QUARTER 2003 HIGHLIGHTS
Although leading economic indicators show only a slight improvement
in the economy, WPNT continues to experience significant growth.
Our executive crisis communications and speech-coaching programs
are helping many organizations continue to improve their competitive
advantage.
| |
The national account management team
of a well known bioscience and pharmaceutical manufacturer participated in a day of training conducted by WPNT in Foster
City, California to prepare to present the company value story
to key groups of thought leaders and third party payers. |
| |
During three days of intensive training
in Milwaukee, three groups of an operations management team
participated in WPNT’s ‘Communicating to Drive
Change & Business Goals.’ The global tool
and equipment maker is placing a high priority on communications to accelerate
the pace of change and improve competitive efforts. |
| |
To educate front line plant personnel
in the U.S. and Canada, and to standardize crisis response
efforts, WPNT wrote and produced an instructional video for
a well-known mattress maker. The 13-minute video included a
series of vignettes simulating ‘right and wrong’ responses
in crises. |
| |
As part of a strategic outreach effort,
WPNT has launched a speaker placement effort for a multinational
energy client seeking to enhance its standing with opinion
leaders. Engagements with public policy groups, universities,
NGOs, civic and professional associations in several U.S. cities
are being secured. |
| |
The corporate & public affairs department
leadership team of a global diversified electronics
maker participated
in a Crisis Readiness Workshop designed by WPNT. The full-day
program, conducted in Schaumburg tested the team’s ability
to mobilize and coordinate worldwide communications efforts
ultimately providing business continuity support. WPNT also
presented an audit of existing crisis plans. |
| |
WPNT returned to Brussels for a series
of recurring presentation training programs for executives
from 10 European countries. The one-day programs are helping
senior executives and managers cope with hostile questions
in public meetings and presentations. |
| |
The chemical industry association hosted
almost three-dozen members for a crisis communications workshop,
in which WPNT assisted as a speaker, facilitator and simulator. |
| |
A well-known window maker tapped WPNT
to provide crisis communications training to its market leaders.
The training was conducted in Midwestern cities and included
a hypothetical scenario and members of WPNT’s Press Corps. |
| |
More than 50 EH & S managers of
a global medical products manufacturer’s Latin American
and European operations attended a WPNT Media & Crisis
Communications Workshop in Orlando,
Florida. The program was
designed to help sensitize participants to the company’s
threat management process. WPNT also assisted company executives
with media training surrounding the announcement of a major
plant expansion in Bloomington, Indiana. |
| |
With industry colleagues, regulators and media looking
on, the South Texas Project is implementing
a strategic communication program with guidance from WPNT.
Recently, personnel at the
nuclear plant discovered a leak of reactor coolant fluid in
a unique location. WPNT prepared company representatives for
public meetings and successful interviews with The
New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and industry trade publications. |
