FOURTH QUARTER 2003 HIGHLIGHTS

Recognizing communications as the differentiator among equals, many WPNT clients focused on enhancing communications skills to garner new business and strengthen the bottom line. An ongoing commitment to crisis readiness through training was also a hallmark of the quarter.

Executive communications coaching was requested by a number of C-suite executives in the automation, telecommunications and airline industries. WPNT provided counsel and training in private sessions on a variety of needs including the satellite business interview, and preparation for a board presentation on an overseas growth strategy. The programs were conducted in Chicago, Milwaukee and Houston.
In a continuing effort to showcase its expertise during business media interviews, WPNT provided another series of Executive Media Training programs to a global business consulting firm. The programs were held in Dallas and included executives from throughout Texas, and from Denver and Minneapolis.
Front line responders including security guards, shift supervisors, and receptionists of a worldwide oil & gas technology provider attended a WPNT Crisis Communications Awareness Program outside Chicago. The program focused on the important role these individuals play in launching and shaping the company's net impression in the event of an emergency.
Representatives of a leading ski resort company gathered in Lake Tahoe, California for a full-day, Media & Crisis Communications Program conducted by WPNT. The participants, from both east and west coasts ski resorts, tackled a customized crisis scenario, which was implemented with the assistance of Los Angeles and San Francisco-based WPNT Press Corps members.
Improving patient safety and quality control through a new, integrated medication delivery system was the subject of a full-day Executive Media Training Program for managers of a worldwide healthcare products maker. In addition, pharmacy executives from Midwest and northeast hospitals also attended the program conducted in Chicago.
The CEO, CFO and several senior VPs of a Houston-based energy concern turned to WPNT to prepare for an investor conference in New York. Private speech coaching sessions were held with each member of the company's senior management team. The company's CEO said the conference was an outstanding success.
In preparation for a media swing to announce a first-of-its-kind product, WPNT prepped a marketing vice president of a well-known consumer brand for live, national television interviews. The training, conducted near Chicago, focused specifically on demonstrating use of the product during the interview.
Dallas-based TXU tapped WPNT for a full-day crisis exercise to enhance the crisis management skills of the utility's 40-member Communications Department. The scenario featured two "sim cells" and members of the WPNT Press Corps.
