SECOND QUARTER 2006 HIGHLIGHTS
A number of WPNT clients found themselves in the national media
spotlight in the second quarter of 2006. High-profile settings included ABC
News, The Today Show, Meet the Press, and BBC Radio. WPNT
helped prepare these companies and their executives to successfully meet the
challenge of national media scrutiny. Some of the highlights include:

Two subject matter experts approached WPNT for media training in
advance of high-profile television interviews. An environmental scientist underwent on-camera
simulations prior to a panel interview on PBS. Another scientist
and corporate executive utilized WPNT’s media training before
an interview for a John Stossel ABC News Special. |

In advance of presentations to the major credit rating agencies in New
York, a publicly-held oil and gas services company sought
WPNT’s help in preparing its CEO and controller. WPNT provided speech
coaching for the senior executives for presentations aimed at improving the
company’s credit rating and reducing the cost of capital. |

WPNT developed and implemented a mock crisis scenario at a busy metropolitan
airport as part of crisis communications training in Houston for a
multinational company. Operations managers went through on-camera
exercises and simulated interactions with local officials. |

A worldwide technology company recently
launched a recurring, branded business communications training program designed
and conducted by WPNT. Despite
record- breaking quarters and a strong stock price, the Midwest-headquartered company
seeks to gain greater competitive advantage through the speaking skills of senior
executives. The programs are conducted bi-monthly in either private or
two-person sessions and are tailored around a specific, pending speaking assignment. |

In advance of hurricane season, a leading energy concern tapped
WPNT for executive media training for its front-line communicators. The
nearly two dozen professionals represented environment, health & safety,
external affairs and engineering functions. |

A company boycott, workplace violence and a natural disaster were part of
a scenario designed by WPNT during a Crisis Leadership program for this worldwide
toolmaker. Members of the WPNT Press Corps assisted by interviewing
the participants and producing news stories during the course of the full-day
program conducted for a dozen senior executives outside Milwaukee. |

management and crisis communications plan in preparation for the impact of
a potential avian flu pandemic in the U.S. The plan emphasizes early outreach
efforts to multiple stakeholder groups. |

to chief marketing officers were topics addressed during a series of WPNT Executive
Communications Coaching programs for this global business consulting
firm. The programs were conducted for eight partners and held
in San Francisco and New York |

Skills & Team Selling program for this executive search firm. The
partners had already completed WPNT’s basic program. The advanced
session, conducted near Chicago was created specifically for this client
and focuses on Partner Choreography, among other things. |

following an acquisition, the CEO of this energy company, underwent
another WPNT Executive Communications Coaching session in preparation for his
quarterly town hall meetings. The meetings include live audiences on-site
and in remote locations. |

WPNT for multiple days of advanced media training for field managers from
several states. The training included simulated broadcast and print media
interviews with local news outlets. |

from Angola, Cameroon, Chad, Egypt, Equatorial
Guinea, and Nigeria attended
