THIRD QUARTER 2006 HIGHLIGHTS

Energy companies, utility providers and banking concerns were among the clients seeking WPNT services in the third quarter. Seemingly benign issues can become instant communication challenges that must be embraced and managed often over extended time periods. In addition to crisis, media and presentation training, WPNT partners and associates assisted these companies with strategic message development -- helping them better understand stakeholder concerns and refine their message. Other highlights include:

WPNT provided "SIM (Simulation) Cell support" as part of a two-day crisis management exercise for a worldwide company. More than 300 people, including local, state and federal government officials, participated in the exercise in Central Illinois. A simulated earthquake helped fine-tune the company's interaction with media representatives, special interest groups and other external stakeholders.
The impact of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, new legal data collection tools, and accounting for stock options were some of the topics covered during a WPNT Executive Presentation Training program for this specialty business consulting firm. The two-day program was conducted near Chicago for directors and managers of an international firm.
General and sales managers of one of the largest resort management companies gathered near Chicago for a WPNT designed and conducted Executive Media Training session. The executives were seeking to leverage news media interviews and ensure business continuity in the event of a crisis. A member of WPNT's Press Corps with broadcast expertise assisted with the program.
Preparation for a New York media swing to leading parent and child publications was the focus of an Executive Communications Coaching session conducted by WPNT for the CEO of a Louisiana-based consumer goods company. The company has patented the only baby product of its kind.
A tragic accident at a California industrial facility, along with the subsequent regulatory investigation and potential fines and litigation, led a manufacturing company to retain WPNT for issues management assistance. WPNT helped craft a communications plan, including talking points for news media, customers and industry organizations.
High potential managers from a large chemical organization were assisted by WPNT as part of a three-week development program. Participants from around the world gathered in the Midwest for individual and team communications coaching as part of an Executive Presentation Skills program.
The president and senior vice president of human resources for a worldwide oilfield services company underwent executive speech coaching in separate, private sessions at WPNT's Houston training facility. The on-camera sessions helped the senior leaders prepare for presentations at a worldwide gathering of the company's top executives.
A WPNT Executive Media Training program conducted for the governmental affairs staff of this leading multinational company was supported by a WPNT Associate and former White House Press Corps member. The session was conducted in Washington, D.C. and focused on safety, security and environmental stewardship.
WPNT conducted a full day of advanced media training for a Dallas-based industrial client. The session prepared the company's experienced corporate communications specialists to deal with both positive and negative news issues. The training also helped one specialist prepare for morning talk show appearances.
A strategy session with the CEO of this specialty materials company was held in advance of his company's quarterly town hall meeting to employees. The meeting was conducted live via videoconference to locations around the country and elsewhere.
Forty new sales representatives of a well-known consumer brand gathered near Chicago for a new hires meeting. WPNT addressed the group on the importance of superior verbal communication skills as a source of competitive advantage for those on the front lines with customers.
