FOURTH QUARTER 2006 HIGHLIGHTS
A heartfelt thank you to our clients whom we assisted throughout
2006. Some of that work conducted in the fourth quarter, is outlined
below. Moving into 2007, we recommit ourselves to all our clients
to provide strategic counsel and business communications training
of the highest quality, value and tangible benefit.

As part of this global
chemical maker's talent development efforts, WPNT served
as faculty during a three-week corporate academy. WPNT provided
Executive Presentation Skills coaching for these high
potential and aspiring managers who gathered for a week outside
Zurich, Switzerland.
During the final week, scheduled for this February, the teams
will present their research and recommendations on existing
and potential product lines. |
| |
A client facing a high-profile
lawsuit looked to WPNT to provide media training for
its lead outside legal counsel. The attorney was interviewed
via satellite in December on CNBC's "Squawk Box." |
| |
The impact of the collapse of a major village
development on resort business was the focus of a WPNT Executive
Media & Crisis Communications training program for a
leading resort company. A dozen sales and marketing executives
gathered near Lake Tahoe, California
for the program. They were joined by members of WPNT's Press
Corps who simulated news media and filed stories. |
| |
In October WPNT conducted more than 20 half-day
communications workshops for a Philadelphia-based
specialty materials company. The company looked to WPNT
to prepare managers at multiple locations across the U.S.
to effectively communicate the results of a global employee
survey as part of a reorganization and strategic redirection.
|
| |
The president of this global
technology company's largest business unit received counsel
and critique from WPNT during an employee meeting conducted
in Cleveland. Several
hundred employees attended in person with several hundred more
attending throughout the world via webcast. |
| |
WPNT's Alison Freeman led a two-day training
program for three dozen field managers at a major Texas
utility company. The program focused on presentation
skills and media training. The session - staffed
with seven WPNT trainers and seven audiovisual technicians -
prepared managers for interaction with local media, civic organizations
and city councils. |

The president and top officers from an energy
client in Houston
participated in a strategic messaging workshop in preparation
for an IPO in 2007. A WPNT associate experienced in investor
relations helped the team develop its communications plan and
key messages. |
| |
Charting a new operational strategy for the
local symphony, the future of its in-house publishing and more
effective client meetings were some of the topics simulated
during a WPNT Executive Communications Coaching program
for the Seattle office
of this well-known business consulting giant. Similar
programs were also conducted in the quarter for the Palo
Alto and San Francisco
offices. |
| |
WPNT provided strategic consultation
for a nuclear client in advance of a potentially controversial
and contentious - but ultimately successful - public meeting
conducted by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. The public meeting
was called to address concerns raised by a special interest
group regarding site security and the facility's ability to
thwart a terrorist attack. |
| |
Now in its third year, WPNT continues
to support this leading executive search firm with multi-tier
training for its partners and consultants. Another of the basic,
Executive Presentation Training programs was conducted
near Chicago. A third
tier
of training is in development. |
| |
In New
York City WPNT prepared a medical doctor
in advance of a White House summit on a high profile public
policy initiative. We prepared the doctor for a live satellite
interview broadcast internationally on CNN. |
| |
WPNT conducted the second in a
series of customized programs designed specifically for
an international client. The program is aimed at senior
managers, including potential incident commanders. The training
in Ohio involved
a full day of executive speech coaching followed by crisis
media training, including a customized mock crisis scenario. |
| |
WPNT senior associate Rhonda Hughes
took leaders from a Houston
energy client through two days of speech coaching
and presentation training in advance of an all-employee
meeting. The president and top leaders participated in two days
of dry runs and rehearsals in preparation for an event designed
to celebrate the successes of 2006 and motivate employees for
continued high performance in 2007. |
