With pending European and Latin American approval
of a new impotence drug, WPNT readied medical opinion leaders
and staff of a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer during
six media awareness programs conducted in Copenhagen, Rio de Janeiro and outside Chicago.
The drug gives physicians an alternative in the treatment of
this common condition. |

As part of a week-long
institute, almost two dozen newly named VPs at a global telecom
corporation participated in a Voice of Leadership Communication
Workshop designed and led by WPNT. The training was conducted
outside Chicago. |

Township managers, police chiefs and local emergency response personnel throughout Pennsylvania strengthened their crisis communication skills in a full-day
training program. The program was supported by a local electric
utility and an insurance company. Participants worked in teams
to respond to a multi-phase crisis scenario involving a simulated
gas pipeline leak. |

In preparation for an evaluation by the Nuclear
Regulatory Commission, WPNT's nuclear division conducted crisis
communication training sessions for Comanche Peak Station in Glen Rose, Texas, Cooper
Station near Omaha and the
Duane Arnold Energy Center in Cedar
Rapids, Iowa. Also, plant managers from six Exelon nuclear facilities participated in issues management and crisis
communication training programs in Chicago and Philadelphia. |

In preparation for a PBS documentary on work/life
balance, WPNT provided media training to executives of an international
health care concern outside Chicago.
The company is one of four featured organizations that successfully
helps employees balance their professional and personal lives.
The program is scheduled to air this year. |

WPNT prepped a Fortune 100 CEO for a media
swing through Washington, D.C. and New York resulting in appearances
on CNBC's Squawk Box and Bloomberg
Television. WPNT assisted with message development and
message format that the CEO used in meetings with the AP,
Business Week, Financial Times, Forbes,
Reuters and The Wall Street Journal. |

Plant managers responded to a hypothetical chemical
release during a crisis communication training program designed
and conducted by WPNT for a global petroleum research & technology
company. WPNT Press Corps members assisted with the program. |

Medical research specialists from a pharmaceutical
giant met in Denver for facilitation
skills training conducted by WPNT. The health care professionals
were preparing to present data about a new diabetes drug. Separately,
improved communication on cardiovascular screening for South
Florida's Hispanic community was the subject of a media training
program for marketing representatives conducted in Miami. |

Advertising Association's Merit Award in the healthcare
systems category for 21st Century Cures.
The half-hour television program was part of the "Feel Your
Best" series which airs on CBS in Des Moines. |
